Nagpur, (Maharashtra) [India]: Renowned ethical hacker and cybersecurity expert Vibhum Dubey has been officially acknowledged by the Indian Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-In) for responsibly reporting and assisting in fixing a serious flaw on the Government of India’s website that could have allowed anyone to change or manipulate its content

The vulnerability, which allowed unauthorized content manipulation through client-side bypass, was reported under reference CERTIn-79970925. Following Dubey’s responsible disclosure, the Startup India technical team swiftly resolved the issue, confirming that the vulnerability had been successfully fixed.
In a formal communication, CERT-In stated:
“With reference to trailing mail, the concerned organization has confirmed that the reported vulnerability is fixed. CERT-In is willing to give due credit for discovering and responsibly reporting the vulnerability by listing your name on the Hall of Fame webpage.”
