In-Between the Dialogue: Artists Jyoti and Shreya Singh Explore Connection Through Art

Gallery ArtCradle is pleased to present In-Between the Dialogue: Spasht–Aspasht by the Artists, a two-person exhibition bringing together the distinct yet interconnected artistic practices of mother-daughter duo Jyoti Singh and Shreya Singh. Curated by Asmita Grover, the exhibition will be on view from 25 th September to 6 th October 2026 at Gallery ArtCradle, DLF Phase 1, Gurugram.

Participating artists:

Jyoti Singh (b. 1978) is a Gurugram-based contemporary visual artist whose practice explores the intersections of femininity, nature, identity and inner experience. Working primarily in acrylic and mixed media, she moves fluidly between figuration and abstraction, creating layered compositions where women and elements of the natural world become metaphors for resilience, transformation and self-discovery. Her sensitive treatment of colour, texture and space invites contemplation, allowing narratives to emerge intuitively rather than prescribe a singular reading. With a background in Botany and formal training in fine arts, Singh brings together observation and imagination. Her work has been exhibited extensively in national group exhibitions across India.
Shreya Singh (b. 2002) is a Gurugram-based visual artist whose practice explores the interplay of structure, movement and emotion. A BFA graduate from GD Goenka University, her practice centres on abstraction, where geometric forms encounter fluid gestures and moments of openness. Working primarily with watercolour on paper, Singh uses colour, floating forms, lines and negative space to evoke the shifting landscapes of memory and inner experience. Her artistic journey is deeply informed by her lived experiences, through which art has become a language of resilience, self-expression and discovery. Singh has exhibited nationally and received recognition through exhibitions, awards and the CCRT Young Artist Scholarship.

At its heart, In-Between the Dialogue, explores the intimate relationship between creativity, connection and self-discovery. The exhibition looks beyond spoken communication to consider the spaces where dialogue takes shape through gestures, emotions, shared experiences and artistic expression. Here, art becomes a language through which two individuals communicate, encourage one another and discover their own identities.

About the Curator

Asmita Grover,a museum curator and heritage professional specialises in museum interpretation, historical research, exhibition development and cultural heritage. She holds an MPhil from Trinity College Dublin and has academic training in History, Museum Studies, and Public History & Cultural Heritage.
