Beginnings

Ashwini Donagre Bangar, the founder and CEO of Smart Home Designs LLP, was born and raised in a middle-class family in a small Maharashtra district and had no knowledge of interior design as a child.

She had always been drawn to art and had a profound interest in drawing and sketching since she was in school. Ashwini had always intended to be an architect after graduating from high school, but life had other plans for her, and she couldn’t get admission. After a little setback of not being able to be an Architect, she pursued engineering at Pune University. While doing engineering she realised her passion and love for Interior Design and decided to pursue a 3-year diploma course for Interior Designing at Pune University.

“I believe our surrounding impacts our thinking process so our vision is to create home designs that give a pleasing experience to our clients within their budget,” says Ashwini, when asked about her company’s vision.

Start of a journey – Smart Home Designs LLP

After completing her graduation in 2015, Ashwini started her own proprietary Interior firm. Initially, she started working only on 2-3 projects per year but then she realised that Interior Designing has a much better and wider market space. Therefore, after marriage with the help of her husband Dr Mukesh Bangar, she registered Smart Home Designs LLP as a company on 14th August 2019. Smart Home Designs LLP, now better known as Interiors by Ashwini Dongare, is a leading Pune-based interior design firm that specialises in residential property development and turnkey project management.
